Cycling can make you happier, healthier and less stressed.

And the benefits aren’t just for you. Cycling also helps to reduce traffic and congestion, which means you’re improving air quality and cleaning up the environment too.

By swapping short car journeys for a bike ride or walk to work, you can easily build exercise into your day and see the health benefits. Research shows adults who cycle regularly have fitness levels of someone up to 10 years younger.

We want more people to get on their bikes and that's why Merseytravel has invested £3.5 million to make cycling a real option for getting around in the city centre.

Whether you’re new to cycling or have been pedalling for years, the links below will tell you everything you need to know about cycling in the Liverpool City Region.
